Carole Ann Ford narrates the complete TV soundtrack of this eerie adventure set entirely on board the TARDIS.
âWe are at the very beginningâŚâ
Escaping from their previous adventure on Skaro, the Doctor, Susan, Ian Chesterton (William Russell) and Barbara Wright (Jacqueline Hill) are inside the TARDIS when it appears to be taken over by an outside force.
Bewildered and confused, the travellers become suspicious of each otherâs motives, and tensions within the ship begin to rise. The TARDIS appears to be trying to tell them something, yet the Doctor has very little idea of how to stop it hurtling backwards in time, towards destructionâŚ
Carole Ann Ford, who played Susan in the BBC TV series, narrates the visual action, and in a bonus interview she recalls making the TV episodes, which were written by David Whitaker and first broadcast in February 1964.
'The tight, two-episode story works brilliantly as an audio experience. It is augmented by linking narration from Carole Ann Ford, who ensures that listeners new to the story know exactly whatâs happening ... This is a whole new way of relishing the creepy, unsettling weirdness of âDoctor Who â The Edge of Destructionâ.' - Entertainment Focus
